This emphasizes the natural beauty of the wood and enhances the beauty of the piece.

The finishes are employed according to need and desire (or form and function.) Sharon uses shellac, fillers, dyes, stains, as well as oil and varnish finishes and polyurethane. Some of the furniture she has built features a layered shellac finish with dyes and stains, building depth and bringing out the character of the wood
