This chest of drawers is constructed in the traditional fashion, with hand cut dovetails for each drawer, and is based on a design by Thomas Moser. The case is joined with hand cut dovetails and sliding dovetail construction. The interior features mortise and tenon joinery for each of the web frames. The drawer dividers feature sliding dovetails. The wood is poplar with a brown dye and shellac finish. Care was taken to match the grain on the drawer fronts and takes advantage of a natural curl pattern on the top 2 drawers.
